We didn’t want a party spot. We wanted something peaceful, with a hint of soul-searching. Uluwatu is where even the rain whispers, and silence feels sacred. It’s all gentle breezes, slow sunsets, and the kind of stillness that makes you notice how deeply your partner actually breathes.
At one point, we had 14 tabs open and no idea what we were doing.
We didn’t want anything too showy or “honeymoon deluxe with rose petals and awkward swan towels.” We just wanted somewhere beautiful, calm, and not crawling with TikTok content creators at every corner.
After reading way too many reviews and watching a few shaky room tours on YouTube, we booked the Deluxe King Garden View Room at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu. What sold us? The location — Uluwatu sounded more relaxed and grown-up than the party-heavy spots. Plus, the hotel promised big comfy rooms, a quiet vibe, and a really decent breakfast.
And it totally lived up to that.
The room was clean, super spacious, with a balcony facing a wall of green so peaceful we actually sat in silence. (For five whole minutes. A record.) The bed was huge, the bathroom even bigger — and honestly, the whole space just felt… easy. No fuss, no weird smells, no “well, it looked better in the pictures” disappointment.
Room price: $152 per night, breakfast included.
We stayed for 7 nights and paid around $1,065 in total.
Definitely not the cheapest option on the island — but for the peace, space, and zero stress? Worth it.

It’s a 15–20 minute ride (via shuttle or scooter) to Roosterfish Beach Club — and it’s worth it. Quiet, clean, warm water, and no aggressive waves. It felt like the beach version of our mood: calm, romantic, a little bit sun-kissed.
Tap water = no. Even if you enjoy taking risks, don’t.
Scooter rentals cost around $6/day, but only if you can ride safely.
